How to ask someone to write a letter of recommendation for you?
When you leave your job and hope to pursue a new job, you will hope to get a recommendation letter. But when you ask your boss, senior supervisor, or a colleague to write a letter of recommendation for you, it seems too much to give you a lot of praise, and if someone points out your past, you will feel annoyed.
What is the right thing to do? Please refer to the following practices:
  1. Why ask her to write a letter of recommendation. Let her know clearly that you think she has the right to write recommendation letters for you, flatter her superiority, and your gratitude for her past guidance and support. Although some disgusting, but also show your sincerity.
  2. Put forward a draft. If you feel that someone will write a recommendation letter will make her feel inconvenient, it is better to provide her with a draft, so that she can't bother. But to make her feel relieved, the recommendation letter will not be troubled by her future.
  3. Let her have a room for refusing. For any reason, your request may refuse you. You should express your understanding, but you can still ask her to give you an oral suggestion for future development. Keep the space for each other to have courtesy in future life.
