擴展你的人脈圈

人們習慣與可以與自己分享興趣的人往來。但是,如此做會限制住自己的視野與學習的機會。 
你可以用以下的作法來擴展你的人脈,學習到新的經驗: 
  1. 參加新的聚會。每年都設法參加一個你有興趣但是相關的知識與經驗都不足的聚會。
  2. 與孤單者交談。在參加社交活動時,不要只與自己的同事或是朋友交談。看看有誰看起來孤單、侷促不安,過去和他聊聊,他也許有獨特的觀點。
  3. 找出和自己興趣不同的人。開拓自己的包容心,去發現那些和自己在生活上興趣不同的人,即使是他的政治與宗教立場與你不同,你都可以聽到一些新的觀點。
Expand your network
People are used to dealing with people who can share their interests with them. However, doing so limits one's vision and learning opportunities.  
You can use the following to expand your network and learn new experiences:
  1. Attend a new party. Every year, try to attend a party that interests you but lacks relevant knowledge and experience.
  2. Talk to the lonely. When participating in social activities, don't just talk to your colleagues or friends. Look at someone who looks lonely and uncomfortable. He may have a unique point of view when he talks to him in the past.
  3. Find people with different interests. Open up your tolerance and find people who have different interests in life. Even if their political and religious positions are different from yours, you can hear some new ideas.

以關切他人來建立人脈

你不會是唯一在建立人脈時遇到許多令人恐懼的狀況。在你驚恐,想要奪門而出是,請嘗試不同的作法。
首先,告訴自己,這不是只關乎你自己而已。當你去拜訪一個可能會影響你未來發展機會的重要客戶,你要先想到你能夠為他做什麼,而非你能夠從中得到什麼利益。
與其誇誇的介紹自己的專業與經歷,不如隨即詢問對方你可以為他服務什麼。你要了解他們是誰,他們為什麼在這裡,他們為什麼呼喚你過來,他們希望解決什麼問題,要達到什麼目的。
然後,想想你能夠為他們連接到什麼資源,你能夠提供哪些,以及你能夠介紹哪些相關人脈給他們。這樣做,不僅會比較有趣,而且你可以學習到新的觀點,認識到新的朋友,最後你將得到一些好的回報。

Build relationships by caring for others
You won't be the only one who encounters many frightening situations in networking. Before you panic and want to get out of the house, try something different.
First, tell yourself that it's not just about you. When you visit an important customer who may affect your future development opportunities, you should first think about what you can do for him, not what benefits you can get from it.
Instead of boasting about your major and experience, ask the other person what you can do for him. You need to know who they are, why they are here, why they call you, what problems they want to solve and what goals they want to achieve.
Then, think about what resources you can connect them to, what you can provide, and what contacts you can introduce to them. Not only will it be more interesting, but you can also learn new ideas, recognize new friends, and eventually you will get some good returns.
