讓To-Do List活起來

有些人的To-Do List真能幫助讓工作得到有效管理,而對於其他人來說,那只是一張讓工作項目清單愈來愈長的一張廢紙。
如何讓你的To-Do List真的有用呢?
  1. 要拆分細化。規劃To-Do項目,不是制定工作目標或是任務。你應該將一項任務/計劃的工作進程拆分細化出來,規劃每週或是每天應該完成的進度,讓任務的目標能夠一步步推進、完成。如果你的To-Do項目太大了,設法拆分細化。
  2. 要包含細節。思考你每天或是每週的工作,應該包含哪些必要的“動作”。與其寫下“與老張聯繫”,不如清楚地寫“聯絡老張,請他安排下次工作會議,討論XXX

Maintain Your To-Do List by the Three-Day Rule
If you can keep crossing out projects on To-Do List, the work schedule will work. If a project stays on your list for more than three days without moving, then you have to take action.
  1. Take immediate action. It may take less time to solve the problem than you think.
  2. Schedule time for action. Find time to work on your to-do list. If it's important enough, you have to commit to dealing with it within a given time.
  3. Take it off. If there's a project you don't want to do immediately, or if you want to defer it until later, you probably won't do it. Recognize that this is not your priority item and delete it from your To-Do List.

你上任后的90天內,預備如何做?

如果你應征中高階主管職位,甚至是CEO職位,通常都會被問到這樣非常有挑戰的問題:你上任后,預備如何開展你的工作?
你千萬不能作無關痛癢的回答,如:我將學習并觀察工作環境。你不能留下讓人感覺你滑頭、閃躲關鍵挑戰、或是你是保守者的印象。要明白聘僱方要準備將一個團隊交付給你領導,也是很艱巨的決策。
你可以先答復你對組織與將要擔負的角色責任的了解,然後連接你即將面對的挑戰與你的過往經驗,再謹慎的提出你的建議,但是也說明你需要了解更多的細節,以及聽取建議。

If you apply for a mid-to-senior executive position, or even a CEO position, you are often asked a very challenging question: How do you plan to do your job when you take office?
You mustn't give any irrelevant answers, such as: I will study and observe the working environment. You can't leave the impression that you're slippery, dodging key challenges, or that you're conservative. Understand that it's also a tough decision for the employer to be ready to deliver a team to your leader.
You can respond to your understanding of the organization and the roles and responsibilities that you will assume, then connect the challenges you are facing with your past experience, and then offer your suggestions carefully, but also indicate that you need to know more details and listen to suggestions.

正確啟動你的新工作

Start your new job right
Starting a new job is usually stressful. You don't know what you're going to face or how to prove your ability.
The following points can increase your chances of success in your new job:
  1. Plan your work procedure. Do your study plan well. Arrange with your boss the colleagues you should know, the departments or customers you should visit, and the products or services you should be familiar with to figure out the company's business processes.

If you don't define the problem clearly, you obviously can't solve the problem correctly, but many people will ignore the detail.
Later, when you are going to solve a problem, consider the following:
  1. Why is it necessary to solve the problem? Why must this problem be solved?
  2. Dose it worth to deal with this problem? That is worth your time to solve the problem. To make clear this problem is in line with your company's strategy? Yourself, your team, or your company can get benefits from what?
  3. Understand the background. How did you solve similar problems before? How did others do it? What are the limitations and challenges to solve this problem?
  4. Write down the problem statement. Write down the answers to these questions, including the scope of the problem, the key points to be addressed, and who will participate in the matter.

讓自己有士氣的找工作

在如今這樣艱困的職業市場上找工作要維持高昂的士氣,很不容易,但是卻是必要的。無論你是誠實的、或是哄騙的面對面試官,你多半還是會感到很挫折。你必須控制好你的情緒,讓自己能夠專注、有精力、並且能夠感到快樂。
  1. 管理好自己,設定求職工作目標。你可以設定好每週的工作目標,例如查訪求職機會、安排面試。一旦你達到了目標,就給自己一些獎勵。
  2. 不要將所有雞蛋放在一個籃子里。如果你手上有好幾個選擇機會,你就不會因為某個求職被拒絕而感到灰心喪氣。

Don't give up the opportunity to evaluate your prospective employer in an interview
Almost all job interviews leave time for job seekers to ask questions before they finish. You must not waste this precious time and continue to talk about yourself. Instead, you should take the opportunity to evaluate your future employer in turn.
