在做艱難對話前,先確認你的主要目的

我們都聽過許多人告訴你應該如何做簡報演說,例如不要按著幻燈片照本宣科, 不要用太多張幻燈片給聽眾壓力,要保持與聽眾的眼神接觸,等等。
但是,對於你急切希望有決策權的聽眾,給你必要的支持時,你只是做精彩的報告,給他們豐富的資訊或重要摘要,是不夠的。你必須告訴他們,你希望他們聽完簡報后,要做什麼?
例如,你希望公司成立專案小組,或是你希望公司批准一筆預算。你必須清楚說出來,而非等著讓他們自己去想到該有什麼行動。
而且,你必須讓他們知道,你需要獲得回覆的時間期限。
即使他們否決了,或是覺得需要更多的資訊來做決策,你都有了清楚的回饋,而非在簡報后,癡癡的在等需要的回覆。

Make sure your main purpose is before you make a difficult conversation
When you are brought into a difficult problem by your colleagues, before you go into the actual discussion, you should first confirm what you want to achieve
Do you want to finish this project more quickly or do you want to get better results? Is your relationship more important than the outcome of your job?
You have to consider these things, but to think what is your main purpose? Can this agree with each other? If you have a common purpose, you can easily work together to solve the conflict between you.

You have to ask yourself to get meaningful results? Reality? If not, will you look down? Would rather focus on a relatively small, but relatively easy to reach the goal. For example, you will have the opportunity to participate in the project, or to draw up a medium-term development plan.

當你和同事發生爭吵時,先多聽再說

如果你和同事在溝通時彼此都提高聲音,或是拒絕聽對方究竟說了什麼,那麼, 你們之間是很難達成共識,做成有效溝通的。
下次你和同事吵架時,試著先多聽,然後才說。
當你在傾聽的時候,你可以構想你要如何反駁,但是你要讓他說完,確保你收到了足夠的資訊。
最重要的是,你必須持著開放的態度,而非用封閉的態度、先入為主,想要封鎖對方的意見。否則,你可能會是錯的。
如果你沒有傾聽,你就難有合適完整的回答。
如果你一時沒有完整答案,你可以說:“你可以給我一天的時間來考慮一下嗎?”很少有人會對你如此的要求有抱怨的。

The next time you quarrel with your colleagues, try listening more and then saying.

If you don't listen, you don't have the right answers.

如何應對有人說了會冒犯人的言語?

當某人發表了不恰當的言論,對他大聲斥責,或是裝聾作啞,都是有害的。若是你對他也出言不遜,很不可能他會自我修正,甚至會對你惱羞成怒。但是,你若是不予理會,他又可能繼續冒犯別人。
你可以說:“我知道這不是你的本意,但這讓我很不舒服”或“我被你說糊塗了。”不要企圖迴避問題。正視與面對,才是有效的方法。
你也可能會問這樣一個問題:“你的意思是什麼?”或者“你基於什麼資訊這樣說?或者,你可以要求他們再說一次。這將促使他們思考這句話的意思,以及它對別人的影響,並給他們一個機會把它收回。

How to deal with someone says offensive words?
When someone made inappropriate remarks, he scolded, or dumb, are harmful. If you are not very likely that he will make impertinent remarks, self-correction, you will even become angry from embarrassment. However, if you ignore it, he may continue to offend others.
You can say, "I know it's not your intention, but it makes me uncomfortable." or "I'm confused by you." Don't try to avoid the problem. Facing is the effective way.

You may ask such a question: "What do you mean?" or "What information lead you say that? Or, you can ask them again. This will prompt them to think about the meaning of this sentence, and its impact on others, and give them a chance to take it back.

在面對衝突對話時,先冷靜下來

當你失望或生氣時,不容易理智。如果你和同事發生了衝突,或是感到工作過度勞累,你很可能不知道該說什麼或是該如何做才會正確。
在這個時候,取其被迫與人溝通討論,不如先緩一下,給自己一些時間來冷靜下來。
你可以和同事說,你需要一些時間來仔細考慮這個問題。(不要要求別人應該冷靜,那樣做可能會起反作用,激怒了別人。)
如果事情真的很激烈,你可以一走了之。離開房間,去洗手間,或者出去散步,給自己一個降溫的機會。
當你恢復了平靜,想要要如何應付后,你可以再回到對話中。

In the face of conflict dialogue, calm down first
When you're disappointed or angry, it's not easy to be rational. If you're in conflict with coworkers, or you feel overworked, you probably don't know what to say or how to do it right.
At this point, it is better to slow down and give yourself time to calm down when you are forced to communicate with others.
You can say to your colleagues, you need some time to think about it carefully. (Don't ask others to calm down, that can be counterproductive and irritate others.)
If things are really intense, you can walk away. Leave the room, to restroom, or go out for a walk, give yourself a chance to cool.

When you regain your peace and how you want to deal with it, you can go back to the conversation.

當然,你不需要完全不瀏覽新聞與信息,我們都需要隨時知道發生了什麼。所以只有你必須完成某件事情的時候,節制你的新聞和信息瀏覽習慣。

要完成大項目,先練習做小項目

要做一件個人的大事,比如想要寫一本書,可能會讓你望而生畏,尤其是以前你從未做過的事情。

To complete large projects, practice small projects first
