We should focus on solving the problem, not your interest
When looking for a job, we are usually advised to follow our interests. However, if you can solve a big problem, the satisfaction will be greater than doing what you are interested in.
This big problem, whether it's about education, health care, climate change, or a technical barrier, think about how you can solve this problem and make a contribution.
Choose a problem that you care about, even if it's personal, then make this difficult a compass for you.
Go out of the office, meet the people who are troubled by this problem, and meet some people who are working hard to solve this problem.
Shift your attention from yourself to the masses. Don't be too concerned about yourself and care much about others, so you will be happier at work.
