把握讓你成長的機會

許多管理者發現在他們現有的職務上很難有讓他們可以進一步成長或是發展的機會。如果你是個具有企圖心,但是你現有的職務缺乏足夠的成長機會,你可以將你的眼光投射到其他領域上。
例如,你可以設法承接你的部門或是組織層級之外的工作項目。在這些其他領域中,你可以擴大你的視野,學習到新的工作技能,並且認識一些其他領域的人,讓你的提升你的能力。
如果一時沒有這樣的機會,你可以到公司外來發展你的技能與擴大你的接觸面。例如,你可以到成人教育單位去教導他人,參加志工活動,在網路上寫博客,或是參加一些專業的活動來認識來自不同公司的人。
這些活動能夠建立你的新能力,發展你的個人品牌,并讓你有機會發現與參與一些策略性的新項目。
Hold on to Your Opportunities for Growth
Many managers find it difficult to allow them to grow or develop in their current positions. If you're ambitious, but you don't have enough growth opportunities in your current position, you can project your vision into other areas.
For example, you can try to undertake work in your department or outside the organizational level. In these other areas, you can broaden your horizons, learn new job skills, and meet people in other areas, so that you can improve your abilities.
If you don't have that opportunity at the moment, you can develop your skills and expand your contacts outside the company. For example, you can go to adult education units to teach others, volunteer activities, blog on the Internet, or participate in professional activities to meet people from different companies.
These activities can build your new capabilities, develop your personal brand, and give you the opportunity to discover and participate in some strategic new projects.
