1. 了解你的導師。不要立即就提出請求導師指導。花一些時間來了解你的導師。你可以詢問他的經歷，他的工作風格，並且將你自己也介紹給他認識。
2. 管理顧慮。你可能對承認自己的缺陷有所顧慮。你應該與導師建立起相互保密的互信。你也同樣要對你的導師的隱私予以盡職保護。
3. 設定進度。要推進學習，應該設定進度表，請導師給予回饋，然後彼此依照計劃執行。

Establish Your Mentor Relationship Correctly

Once you have selected your mentor, start your apprenticeship properly.

Here's an apprenticeship that allows you to build successful partnerships with mentors:

1. Know your advisor. Don't immediately ask for guidance from your supervisor. Take some time to get to know your advisor. You can ask him about his experience, his style of work, and introduce yourself to him.
2. Management concerns. You may be concerned about admitting your flaws. You should build a confidential mutual trust with your supervisor. You should also do your due diligence on the privacy of your advisor.
3. Schedule. To promote learning, you should set up a schedule, and ask the instructor to give feedback, then, follow each other's plan.
