Stay
calm when your colleagues ride on your head
When
you find your colleagues cross you and ride on your head and talk directly to
your boss, you get angry. It's not only
because you're excluded from the conversation with the boss, and maybe he'll
embarrass you. What can you say and do when someone passes you?
You
should take a step back and evaluate what you know. Find out the facts, rather than making random judgments and criticisms.
Are
you likely to misunderstand? If you don't know what's going on, just figure it
out.
You
can ask your boss: "I hear that 小張 has come up with a new idea.
Is there anything I
need to know?" You have to ask your
boss questions in a relaxed, non-
questioning tone, and don't think you're ready to engage in a quarrel.
You
can also ask your colleagues in private, listen to what he said to his boss, and what he did,
and what he said is relevant to you
Once
you have all the information, you can make a reasonable judgment and know how
you should deal with it later.
