我們都有弱點。幸運的是,這些弱點通常不是因為我們缺乏能力,而通常是因為我們的壞習慣。
當你在辦公室一邊準備簡報資料,一邊檢查你的郵件或是上網瀏覽網頁,這就是你的壞習慣。你沒有做好優先次序管理。
這可能是因為你焦慮、情緒不穩,或是不知道如何適當應付你當下的工作。
要改變這樣的壞習慣的關鍵是先認清楚你正在發生不合宜行為了。這個時候,注意你的情緒、心理狀態,以及發生的時間、地點位置。
如果你能夠認知你發生不好行為的狀態,你就有機會控制你自己的行為。提醒自己必須注意。
然後,先停下你的這樣的不當舉止,起來走動一下,讓自己的思慮沉靜下來,讓自己恢復專心,以不著急的態度回到你應該做的工作上,讓自己看到一些小進步。
不要貪心,你的壞習慣不會立刻就可以戒除。但是,只要你注意到了,而且能夠逐漸控制,你終究可以戒除掉你的壞習慣。
Recognize your bad habits
We
all have weaknesses. Fortunately, these weaknesses are usually not due to our
lack of ability, but often because of our bad habits.
It's
a bad habit when you're
preparing your briefing material at the office, and checking your email, or surfing the web. You don't
have priorities.
This
may be because you're anxious, emotionally unstable, or you don't know how to
deal with your current job properly.
The
key to changing such bad habits is to recognize that you are doing
inappropriate behavior. At this point, pay attention to your emotions, mental
state, and the time and place of occurrence.
If
you can recognize the state of your bad behavior, you will have the opportunity
to control your behavior. Remind yourself that you have to pay attention.
Then,
stop your bad behavior, get up and move around, calm your mind, get your
attention back, get back to work you need to do, and make yourself see some
little progress.
Don't
be greedy. Your bad habits don't get rid of it immediately. But as long as you
notice and control gradually, you can end your bad habits.
