Integrating Learning into Daily Work
We all need to keep learning new things to grow in our careers. But sometimes our schedule is very urgent. In order to find time for study, make it part of your daily work.
One way to do this is to find ways to acquire skills from people around you. Pay attention to how your boss handles negotiations; ask sales people about industry trends; and get feedback from your colleagues after you give a speech.
Of course, sometimes there are things that interest you, but you are too busy to explore it. When this happens, try to create a list of "to learn": write down the concepts, ideas and practices you want to return to later.
Create a learning pathway for your team, whether through Dropbox, SharePoint or elsewhere. Add links to resources you find valuable - this will encourage your colleagues to do the same.
